Willow Moon Farm

Willow Moon Farm

Willow Moon Farm began in 2016 when founder Sara, expecting her first child, started making non-toxic skincare at her kitchen table for her family. The early batches sold out at a local craft event and confirmed a simple idea: people want products that feel clean and honest. That seed grew into a farm business devoted to regenerative growing, clear labeling, and ingredients you can actually trace.

Regenerative Roots

Today, Willow Moon is a Certified Naturally Grown farm. That certification signals adherence to organic practices through peer review and annual inspections. The team works with nature to improve soil structure, protect water, and grow botanical ingredients that feed their skincare line. Their CNG profile shows a steady cadence of inspections in both produce and livestock, reflecting real accountability in the field.

The Heart of the Farm

Skincare is the heartbeat, but the farm also raises food for the community. You will find Kunekune pork, chicken, and eggs available for local customers, with shipping for meats on their roadmap as they expand capacity. The emphasis is on transparency, simple formulations, and ingredients grown or raised on their land whenever possible.

Kunekune pigs are a thoughtful choice for pasture systems. Willow Moon breeds IKHR-registered stock and selects lines for performance, not just looks, which supports consistent flavor and quality in the pork program. They also provide breeding stock for other farms and homesteads.

Dairy goats are part of the whole-farm plan as well. The herd includes registered Nigerian Dwarf goats and now Mini Nubians, aligning milk production with the needs of their formulations and farm goods.

Certified Naturally Grown in Frederick County

Willow Moon notes that they are the first and only farm in Frederick County to hold Certified Naturally Grown status. That claim sits alongside their public CNG listing, which documents inspection history across produce and livestock. The through-line is clear: they are building a farm system where certification, record-keeping, and day-to-day practice match.

Skincare Grown at Home

On the skincare side, the catalog ranges from face care to body and hair, plus mamas and babies. The common thread is botanicals the farm knows well: lavender, calendula, comfrey, and other herbs that start in the soil and end up in small-batch products. This farm-to-formula approach lets them control sourcing, freshness, and quality.

Community First, Scale with Intention

Willow Moon fits the promise of farmer-made products that respect land and people. The skincare comes from plants they grow. The meats come from animals raised with attention to breed, forage, and handling. The certification trail is public. The story is steady: start small, learn fast, keep it honest, and improve the ground underfoot.

Bring home what they grow. Explore Willow Moon Farm’s regenerative skincare and farm goods, and support a family working to leave their land better than they found it.
