The story of Francee Farms begins not with a business plan, but with a calling. In December 2016, when the family’s husband and father accepted the role of pastor at West Edgecombe Baptist Church, they began searching for a place to call home near Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Land prices seemed out of reach, until a providential phone call changed everything.
A local woman, deeply rooted in the community, offered them 38 acres at a price that could only be described as a gift. Shortly before the sale closed, she passed away, but her family honored her wish. Her name was Francis Carlton. In her memory, and in recognition of her legacy of service, the farm was named Francee Farms.
The Gift That Became a Mission
What started as a blessing soon became a purpose. On this land, the family discovered both space and inspiration to pursue a healthier way of living. They began raising goats and experimenting with natural recipes that could replace the harsh products so common in everyday skincare. With time, patience, and more than a few trial runs, they created their first goat milk soaps and lotions.
Seven years later, those kitchen experiments have grown into a thriving line of goat milk products, crafted with care and shared with customers across the region.
Why Goat Milk?
Goat milk has been prized for centuries as a nourishing ingredient for the skin. It is naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, and moisturizing fats that help support softness and hydration. By combining these qualities with thoughtfully chosen oils, Francee Farms has developed recipes that are gentle, effective, and designed for everyday use.
Their soaps, lotions, and body care items are made not just for luxury, but for families seeking something clean, honest, and close to nature. Each product reflects the same principles that guided the farm’s beginning: faith, stewardship, and care for others.
A Community Woven In
From the very beginning, Francee Farms has been intertwined with the community. The land itself came through the generosity of a local family, and the products are now sold in regional stores as well as online. Customers return not only because of the quality but because they feel connected to the story. Supporting Francee Farms means supporting a vision grounded in gratitude, family, and faith.
Carrying Forward a Legacy
Francee Farms is still growing. After seven years of refining recipes and building trust with customers, the family is planning to expand both their farm and their product line. Their goal is not mass production, but meaningful growth, providing more families with products they can rely on, while staying true to the values that shaped their beginning.
What began with one woman’s decision to make land accessible has blossomed into a farm that continues her legacy of service: one bar of soap, one bottle of lotion, one customer at a time.
Francee Farms carries forward a simple truth: when work is guided by faith and gratitude, the results reach far beyond the farm itself.
