Each June, we sustainably wild-harvest mesquite pods from two native varietals—Honey Mesquite (prosopis glandulosa) and Velvet Mesquite (neltuma velutina). These ancient trees have fed the Southwest for thousands of years. Indigenous peoples once gathered millions of pounds annually, sustaining entire civilizations in the desert. We follow their lead, harvesting respectfully—taking only what the trees freely offer while leaving ample pods for wildlife and natural regeneration.

The Process Sun-dried mesquite pods, carefully hammer-milled to preserve their natural sweetness. Light roasting brings out deeper caramel notes while maintaining the flour's distinctive character.

The Flavor Think honey nut cereal meets desert wildflower. Honey Mesquite leans sweeter and more caramel-forward. Velvet Mesquite brings earthier, almost malt-like depth. Both carry that unmistakable mesquite aroma—warm, nutty, faintly smoky.
